United Way thanks generous Comox Valley contributors

United Way would like to thank leading Canadian companies, employers and Labour organizations in the Comox Valley for supporting United Way and the 18 programs funded in Comox Valley this year.

These organizations – together with their employees and members across Canada – each raised over $1 million in support of United Way programs across the country. Because of these generous partnerships, United Way is able to improve lives in communities across Canada, including the Comox Valley.

Thank you for your continued support!

“The million ways communities benefit from the funds raised speaks for themselves,” said Todd Lyner, BC Supervisor for UPS Canada, who is based out of the Comox Valley.

“Working together to make a difference benefits all of our communities by creating a better standard of life where we live and work. I was involved with the United Way in Ontario and it is fantastic that I can continue supporting this great cause in the Comox Valley.”

“We are so thankful for the generosity of our partners. These companies and labour groups help us invest in local community programs such as financial tutoring programs to help people move out of poverty, leadership programs for youth, counselling programs for caregivers and much more,” said Signy Madden, UWCNVI Executive Director.

These generous donations help fund 18 community programs and projects in the Comox Valley this year. For a full list of programs and descriptions, visit uwcnvi.ca.
