One of the founders of the University of the Fraser Valley has passed away.
Frank Dolman died Aug. 18 at the age of 82. He was an educator who worked in the B.C. Interior, overseas, and with the ministry of education, heading a group developing an adult basic education curriculum for the province.
In 1974 he was appointed to a committee which organized what would become the University of the Fraser Valley, and was one of the first three staff members. He stayed with the college until his retirement in 1989, working at several administrative positions, including director of education.
A celebration of life is planned for Oct. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Hole-in-the-Wall, 3807 Eldridge Road.
