Unlimited curbside yard waste pick-up coming to Penticton

Extra yard waste can be picked up in paper bags or properly marked containers

Better get out your rakes and your leaf bags, Penticton will be allowing unlimited yard waste pick for two weeks.

From March 29 to April 2 and April 26 to 30 residents will be allowed to set out unlimited paper bags or containers of yard waste for pick-up.

All bags and containers are required to be set out by 7 a.m. alongside garbage at the usual pick-up point. Containers should be marked as yard waste for pick up.

Bundle branches using string or twine and ensure they are no more than three feet in length and three inches in diameter and 50 pounds in weight.

If additional yard waste is not collected, leave it at the collection point as a second truck may be required to pick it up.

Dog waste and dog waste bags are not acceptable yard waste. Yard waste in plastic bags will also not be accepted.
