UPDATE: 2nd shooting this month at North Surrey house sends one to hospital

Witness say a may was shot inside home in the 9100-block of 148 Street

For the second time this month, Surrey RCMP were called to a residence in the Guildford area of Surrey after a man was shot in the leg.

The incident happened around 3:45 a.m. Sunday (Aug.29.) at a home in the 9100-block of 148 Street, near Fraser Highway.

It is the same residence where another shooting took place on Aug. 12, a witness said.

“The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this incident is targeted and there is no risk to the public. There is also no indication that this incident is related to the lower mainland gang conflict,” Surrey RCMP said in a news release.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone with more information, including dash cam video around the area of the 9100 block of 148 Street between the hours of 3-4 a.m. to contact RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2021-131168.
