Better safe than sorry!

Emergency scanner traffic indicated Agassiz firefighters are responding to a wire hanging down over Sutherland Road in Agassiz. When firefighters arrived and surveyed the scene, the downed wire appeared to be a Telus line. Neither Telus nor B.C. Hydro needed to be dispatched as the wire was determined to be old and didn’t pose a threat. The wire was re-secured without further incident.

B.C. Hydro currently reported no outages in the area.

More to come.
