UPDATE: Classes resume at Colwood’s Royal Bay Secondary following brief evacuation

Colwood Fire determine pipes leaking sewage smell Tuesday morning

Students and staff from Royal Bay Secondary in Colwood have returned to class following a brief evacuation in the building Tuesday morning.

Colwood Fire Rescue determined that it was a pea trap that had started leaking a sewage smell.

Afternoon classes are continuing as per usual after a 30 minute evacuation just before 11 a.m.
