UPDATE: Delta Police cancel Amber Alert for 18-month-old girl

Suspect and child located in Merritt. Child safe, man in custody.

Delta Police have issued an Amber Alert for Alycia Lyle, who police believe was taken by her father, David Harold Gordon Lyle, on Monday morning (April 13). He was last seen driving a red Ford Escape (below).

UPDATE: Delta Police have now confirmed the child and suspect were located in Merritt. The suspect is in custody and the child is safe and unharmed.

An Amber Alert has been issued for an 18-month-old girl who Delta Police say was abducted from a Tsawwassen home by her father.

Police say Alycia Lyle was taken at about 10:20 a.m. Monday (April 13) after a custody disagreement between the parents.

David Harold Gordon Lyle, 31, is now sought by police.

He is described as white, about 5’6″ tall, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in a black T-shirt.

Lyle may be driving a red 2014 Ford Escape, with the Alberta licence place BMX704.

Alycia is described as blonde with blue eyes and pierced ears. She was last ween wearing a denim skirt, pink shirt and patterned stockings.

Call 911 immediately if you see the vehicle, victim or suspect.
