The evacuation order issued this morning for portions of the Wildwood subdivision 14 kilometers north of Williams Lake was rescinded around 9:55 p.m.

The hazardous goods have been successfully unloaded from the rolled over transport truck onto a new tanker and have been removed from the incident scene, the CRD stated in a press release.

Traffic will continue to be re-routed to the local Wildwood road detour that was in effect prior to the evacuation order.

Drive BC will make its next update at 12 a.m.

The Emergency Social Services Centre at the Salvation Army has closed and all displaced residents can return home.

“Thank you to all of the emergency responders who worked on this event and thank you to our residents for your cooperation and patience during this trying time,” the CRD stated.
