UPDATE: Explosions heard at Village at Mill Creek

All clear given… A broken gas line was reported at 1450 Sutherland, the Village at Mill Creek, Wednesday.

Multiple explosions have been heard at Village at Mill Creek, where a gas line is believed to have been damaged.

UPDATE:

11:40: Sutherland command complete, all emergency vehicles back to stations.

11:36: The all-clear was given within minutes that the situation was under control.

A broken gas line was reported to Kelowna Fire Department at approximately 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Nearby residents reported they had heard sounds of explosions.

Fire and emergency services were on the scene within minutes.
