UPDATE: Fatal crash on 0 Avenue likely medical incident

Vehicle came to rest on U.S. side of international boundary. A White Rock man has been identified as the victim.

A medical incident is likely the cause of a fatal single-vehicle crash that killed a 73-year-old White Rock man at the U.S./Canada border on Friday.

Langley RCMP said further investigation suggests the man suffered a medical incident and then his vehicle left the roadway in the southernmost part of Langley in the 22900 block of 0 Avenue.

His vehicle came to rest on the United States side of the boundary.  Langley RCMP was assisted in its investigation by US Border Patrol.

The discovery of the vehicle was reported just prior to 1 p.m. however it is now believed the crash happened the night before.

ICARS (Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Services) assist with the investigation. Police are no longer seeking witnesses to this crash.
