UPDATE: Highway 4 reopens following car fire

Incident in progress at Cameron Lake, 10 km west of Coombs

Highway 4 has now reopened in both directions Thursday afternoon, June 29, after to a motor vehicle fire at Angel Rock alongside Cameron Lake. 10 km west of Coombs.

DriveBC reported at 3:50 p.m. the road has been re-opened with a 30-minute delay.

The incident occurred about 1:35 p.m., according to DriveBC, which cautioned drivers to expect delays. A follow-up message indicated the road was closed in both directions.

B.C. Ambulance personnel and Coombs-Hilliers Volunteer Fire Department members have responded to the scene. For information on the road re-opening, visit www.drivebc.ca.
