UPDATE: Highway 97 in Quesnel open again after crash

Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision

UPDATE:

Traffic is flowing once again along Highway 97 in Quesnel.

The road had been closed in both directions as emergency crews tended to a multi-vehicle crash that sent at least one person to the hospital.

The collision was on the top of a hill in the north of Quesnel, near Keis Avenue. Crews were called to the scene just before 7:00 a.m. on June 30.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Highway 97 in the north of Quesnel is blocked in both directions as emergency crews respond to a multi-vehicle crash.

Multiple ambulances, police and the Quesnel Fire Department are on the scene, treating multiple patients. The crash is located on top of a hill, just past Lear Road, on Keis Avenue. Traffic was substantially backed up due to the closure.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 7 a.m.

There is no word on if there were any serious injuries in the crash
