UPDATE: Hundreds without power in Maple Ridge

Power went out at 9:17 a.m.

Hundreds of homes were without power Wednesday morning, April 7, in Maple Ridge.

Equipment failure is being blamed for the outage that affected 465 residences from 219 Street east to 224 Street and from 122 Avenue north to Abernethy Way.

Crews arrived on scene at about 10:40 a.m. to investigate and power was restored to all residents by 11 a.m.
