UPDATE: 12:51 p.m.

The two men shot this morning in Kamloops have died.

RCMP are now investigating the two reported shooting incidents as homicides.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the two men, who were both found outside of separate hotels in Kamloops, succumbed to their injuries.

“Currently we have numerous police resources, both uniform and plain clothes officers investigating both incidents. Given that both shootings happened within two hours of each other and in public places, we are asking the public to remain vigilant and mindful of any suspicious activity they may see in the community and report it to police,” stated Shelkie.

The investigations are in their infancy and no further details are available at this time.
