A 80-year-old dementia man from Langley remains missing after search and rescue crews failed to turn up any leads, according to Langley RCMP.
Herron Lorne was last seen around 7 p.m. on Friday by staff at his new residence in Fort Langley, RCMP said in a release on Saturday.
Staff Sgt. Don Davidson, said crews spent Friday and Saturday searching for Herron and the case will now be referred to the serious crime unit.
Police are asking the public’s help to locate Herron.
Herron struggles with memory loss and dementia and is believed to have wandered away from his Fort Langley residence.
He has resided in the area for approximately one week having recently moved from Abbotsford and police believe he may be attempting to get back to the Abbotsford area.
Herron does not have access to a vehicle and may be seeking the assistance from passers-by.
He is described as Caucasian, 6’2″ tall and approximately 170 pounds, has grey hair, blue eyes and is believed to be wearing a grey coat with a light hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
