Police say a 56-year-old local man has been hospitalized with serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash at the Popkum-Agasssiz roundabout on Wednesday (July 15).

Cpl. Mike Halskov of the B.C. RCMP Traffic Services said the rider was operating a bicycle with a 49-cc gas engine attached when he lost control exiting the roundabout.

“Although the rider was wearing a helmet, he suffered serious injuries and was transported by Air Ambulance to hospital, where he remains.”
