A nine-year-old boy has been found safe after being reported missing in Chase Thursday night.
It has been discovered that Brooklyn, whose last name was not provided, was at a friend’s house for a sleepover. His friend’s parents were unaware Brooklyn’s parents did not know where he was.
He was found at approximately 6:40 Friday morning.
On Thursday June 16, Chase RCMP began a missing persons investigation after a nine-year-old boy was reported missing by his family after he went out for a bike ride around Chase with the intention of returning before dark.
A search was launched Friday morning and the Chase RCMP were seeking the help of the residents of Chase in searching their yards, outbuildings, pools, shrubs and anywhere else around their residences for the boy.
The Chase RCMP Detachment issued a statement thanking the members of Search And Rescue teams from the Shuswap, Kamloops, Vernon and Williams Lake areas for assisting in searching for Brooklyn throughout the night.
