Two First Nation sisters have gone missing for the second time in a week.

Shauntae (10) and Nikita Joseph (13) were first reported missing last Thursday. Police say they were last seen at 8 a.m. on Oct. 3, in the 6400-block of 121st Street.

But on Saturday, at roughly 2 a.m., Surrey RCMP issued a release saying they had both been found safe.

Then, on Monday (Oct. 7) police issued another public appeal after the siblings were reported missing once again.

“Just because they were recently reported missing doesn’t diminish the fact that we want to find them and ensure they are safe,” said Corporal Elenore Sturko of the Surrey RCMP.

This time, Surrey RCMP is only handling Nikita’s case. The 13-year-old is described as five feet two inches tall, with a slim build, long dark hair, and was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit.

She was last seen on Oct. 7 in the 12600-block of 66th Street.

Delta Police, meantime, are handling the file surrounding Shauntae’s case as she was reported missing from that city.

DPD says Shauntae was last seen on Oct. 5 at a home in North Delta, near McCloskey Elementary.

Shauntae is described as five feet two inches tall, with a slim build, long dark hair and was last seen wearing a black sweater, black Kappa track pants and black/white Vans shoes.

“Delta Police are actively investigating her disappearance, and have reached out to Metro Vancouver police agencies, as well as friends, family and known acquaintances in efforts to locate Shauntae and check on her safety and well-being,” said Cris Leykauf, spokesperson for Delta Police, in a release.

Police and family are concerned for their well-being.

A woman named Tanya Marie Joseph posted a tearful video on Facebook, appealing for information to help find her. She posted the video early Sunday afternoon before Nikita was reported missing again on Monday.

“I’m very worried about you. I’m worried about your safety, and I love you so much Shauntae, I want you to come home,” she said. “I’m so broken right now, and I’m desperate. I’m desperate to find you. I’m not mad at you and I’m not angry and everything will be fine. I just need you to be safe.”
