UPDATE: Missing man found safe and sound

RCMP is requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing Thunder Bay Ontario resident.

The West Kelowna RCMP is pleased to confirm that Kevin Larson has been located safe and sound.

“The RCMP wish to thank all those involved in the initial ground search in rural West Kelowna,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “We’d also like to extend our gratitude to those who participated in the extended search efforts lead by the dedicated volunteers of Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR).”

West Kelowna RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing Thunder Bay Ontario resident.

Kevin Larson was last seen, outside a unit of Lake Okanagan Resort, during the early morning hours of May 28. He was later discovered missing, his vehicle and personal belongings left behind and reported to police as such shortly after 2 p.m. the same day.

“A decision was made by investigators to activate Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) crews who attended the scene,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, in a press release.

“Search and rescue crews searched for hours, before suspending search efforts late in the evening.”

There is nothing to indicate foul play at this time. However police are very concerned for Kevin’s well-being as friends and family report that his disappearance is out of character.

Description of Kevin Larson:

  • Caucasian male;
  • 59 years;
  • 5-foot-10 in (178 cm);
  • grey hair and beard;
  • He was last seen wearing:
  • black pants;
  • black shirt;
  • black crocs;
