UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP report Christopher Kiros has been found safe and sound.

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED: The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a person who they say has significant medical issues and requires daily medication.

The family of Christopher Ziros heard from the 30-year-old Tuesday. The phone call was short, but what was said gave them the impression their son was in need of medical attention, say RCMP.

“They are extremely concerned for his safety and well-being,” noted a police press release.

Ziros is currently of no fixed address and is known to frequent shelters throughout Nanaimo. Ziros is a Caucasian, 6-foot-2, 225 pounds and the picture provided is recent. Ziros is known to wear a jacket with fur around the hood.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2020-40186.
