69-year-old's family members were extremely concerned

UPDATE: The 69-year-old man who had been missing has been located and is safe and sound, RCMP report.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Police in Nanaimo are seeking the public’s help in locating a man whose truck was found abandoned near Nanaimo’s downtown.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, the family of Robert Knight, 69, are very concerned after his 1999 Dodge pickup was found abandoned on Fry Street and all attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful.

Knight is white, stands six feet tall and weighs 177 pounds and has white hair and blue eyes, said the press release.

Anyone with information on Knight’s whereabouts is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line quoting file No. 2021-27947.
