UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP have reported that the 16-year-old girl who was missing has been found safe and sound.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate 16-year-old Trisha Harry.

Harry, who goes by Trish, was last leaving her north Nanaimo home at approximately 10 p.m. on Monday.

All efforts to locate Harry have been unsuccessful, say police, so family, friends and investigators are concerned for her safety and well-being.

Harry has friends and family in the North Cowichan area and investigators are following up on information that she may have travelled to that location.

Harry is First Nations, 5-foot-2, with long black hair and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and carrying a blue backpack.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Harry is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, or the closest RCMP detachment in your area.
