A crash between three vehicles in Nanaimo’s Harewood neighbourhood has sent one man to hospital.
The collision happened at the intersection of Howard Avenue and Seventh Street, near John Barsby Secondary School, shortly before 9:30 a.m. when a full-size pickup truck collided with another pickup and a car.

Firefighters removed the driver of the truck, a man in his 50s, that was hit in the driver’s side door. He was taken by ambulance to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
The drivers of the other vehicles, a woman in her 30s and a man is his 50s were tended to at the scene.
According to police, the driver of the full-size GMC pickup ran a stop sign and his truck struck the smaller eastbound pickup, pushing it into the white Chevrolet sedan. There were no signs of impairment among the drivers and as of Wednesday afternoon, no decisions had been made about possible charges as the collision was still under investigation.
The driver who was taken to hosptial reportedly suffered minor injuries.
