UPDATE: One of three puppies stolen from South Surrey recovered

American Bulldog puppy recovered after being sold at Mission car show

Less than a day after the Surrey RCMP issued a plea for help in locating three puppies stolen during a South Surrey break-and-enter, one of the dogs has been recovered and return to its owners.

In a news release Tuesday morning, police said that after receiving information from the public, they were able to recover the pup, which had been sold to a member of the public at a car show in Mission over the weekend.

Police believe the other two dogs – Lilac American bulldogs – may have been sold in a similar manner, and are still seeking witnesses or those with information to come forward.

The dog owners are “very happy” to get their puppy, Rosie, back, police added.

The three dogs were stolen sometime between noon and 4 p.m. on April 10 from a home in the 17400-block of 8 Avenue. The home was unoccupied at the time.

Police are asking that witnesses or anyone with information on the theft call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502. To stay anonymous, call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or visit www.solvecrime.ca
