Update: Pedestrian suffers from medical distress

Emergency crews are on scene

On January 10, 2018 at 11:08 a.m., while on patrol a Kelowna RCMP general duty officer came across a man in apparent medical distress. Concerned that the male had been struck by a motor vehicle, a passing motorist also stopped to provide their assistance to the pedestrian, who had been discovered laying on top of a cement island in the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Spall Road. Emergency Health Services were called to the scene to assist. The pedestrian, believed to have suffered a medical emergency, was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Service for further medical assessment.

Emergency crews were on scene this morning after witnesses reported that a person was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Spall Road and Harvey Avenue.

Crews were seen assisting a person, who was down on the ground.
