Officers execute drug warrant at house along Lougheed Highway by Laity Street.

  • Jan. 30, 2018 12:00 a.m.

Three men were arrested Tuesday after a heavy presence by Ridge Meadows RCMP at a house on Lougheed Highway near Maple Ridge Cemetery.

Police were called around 5 p.m. and as many as five police vehicles responded, including two large white vans, from which the officers carrying guns and wearing camouflage exited.

They executed a drug warrant at the house, said RCMP Sgt. Brenda Gresiuk.

Assisting was the Lower Mainland emergency response team, as well as uniformed community response and street enforcement units, she added.

Three men were arrested as a result and drugs were seized, although police could not release further details as the investigation is ongoing.

Gresiuk expects charges to be recommended against the three men, all known to police.

No one was injured and the incident was executed without incident, she said.

“There was no risk to anyone. It was specifically for that residence that we were executing that warrant.”
