Update: RCMP say missing 22 year old woman located

A day after asking for the public's assistance Anita Fiestas was found

Williams Lake RCMP Staff Sgt. Del Byron said a woman reported missing last week by family has been found and is well.

Williams Lake RCMP are asking the public’s assistance in locating a 22-year-old woman, reported missing by her family on Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Staff Sgt. Del Byron said to date police inquiries have failed to locate lakecity resident Anita Fiestas.

“Police are asking the public for assistance in locating Anita to ensure her safety and provide her family with peace of mind, especially coming into the Christmas season,” Byron said.

Fiestas is described as an Indigenous female with long brown hair, brown eyes, approximately five feet and two inches tall with a slim build.

Anyone with knowledge of Fiesta’s whereabouts is urged to call the RCMP at 250-392-6211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
