A runner in the Vancouver Fall Classic was hit by a bus just after 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
TransLink confirmed that the bus that hit the runner was one of theirs.
In an email Sunday, race director Eric Chéné said that they were looking into the incident.
“Emergency personnel responded to the incident and the runner was transported to a local hospital,” Chene said.
“We have no further information available on the condition of the individual at this time.”
Chene said the incident took place at SW Marine Drive, where two lanes were closed to traffic.
The man hit was a runner in the 10 kilometre run, which began later, but had helped pace a friend who was running the half marathon.
When he left the half marathon course to return to the 10 kilometre course, he was hit by a TransLink bus on Southwest Marine Drive.
