B.C. Wildfire Service has confirmed four wildfires are burning in the Lower Similkameen.
The fires started after a lightening storm came through the area before 7 p.m.
There is a fire burning near Olalla Creek listed as less than 0.01 hectares; another one in the Snowy Protected Area listed the same size, Paul Creek (Ashnola) 0.01 hectares and a 1.10 hectare fire on Placer Mountain.
Thirteen new wildfires have been reported Tuesday evening in the Okanagan and Similkameen area. Ground crews, helicopters, and air tankers and additional resources are on route to assist.
At this time there is no known structures at risk, a statement from B.C. Wildfire Service stated.

The BC Wildfire Service shows two fires burning one on Snowy Mountain and one in the Paul Creek Area (Ashnola).

Reports started coming in several hours ago of a fire on K-Mountain, which B.C. Wildfire might be considering the Snowy the fire.
The cause of the Snowy fire is listed as lightening by B.C. Wildfire Service. There was no cause listed for Paul Creek at the time of this posting.
Both fires are small at 0.01 hectares in size.
The Review has received a photo of another fire burning north of Olalla. That fire is not yet listed on the BC Wildfire interactive map.
