  • Jun. 26, 2018 12:00 a.m.

UPDATE: 3:00 p.m.

Power will be temporarily turned of to the neighbouring areas of Antlers Beach Mobile Home Park, Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The extent of the outage could not yet be confirmed by director of operations for the city of Peachland, Joe Mitchell. However, the power does need to be turned off to the area to remove the tree that has fallen onto one of the homes.

“We want to get the tree out of there as quickly as possible,” Mitchell said.

Mayor Cindy Fortin of Peachland is not concerned with the repair cost at this time.

“I just want to make sure everyone is safe, hopefully repairs won’t be long,” Fortin said.
