Construction on Johnston Road has reduced northbound traffic flow to a single lane in White Rock Friday.
Drivers near North Bluff Road/16 Avenue – at the busiest entrance to the city – are affected.
Both lanes are expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Friday
According to workers at the scene, they are pumping concrete for an underground parkade for the 23-storey PARC Retirement Living residence tower.
PARC Retirement Living broke ground last April for the development – located in the 1500-block between Johnston Road and George Street – which is expected to open in the summer of 2019.
The 202-unit White Rock tower will offer independent-living rental accommodation for seniors.
