UPDATE: Southbound lane of Highway 97 opened between Penticton and Summerland

Traffic is free flowing again

Update: 6:15 p.m.

A vehicle incident that closed one southbound lane of Highway 97, south of Trout Creek on Thursday has been cleared, according to DriveBC.

The incident was between Kickininee Provincial Park and Sun-Oka Beach Provincial Park, in one of the lanes Thursday shortly after 2 p.m. The higway was opened back up fully before 6 p.m.

The northbound lanes weren’t impacted.

There were still road crews at the scene but on the shoulder at 6:15 p.m.
