The 100 Mile House RCMP are confirming that 27-year-old Dorian Lindsay Johnny has been charged in connection with a robbery on a Greyhound bus that took place Sunday, March 15, 2015.
Johnny is charged with one count of robbery and two counts of failing to comply with bail conditions.
“An initial hearing was held before a Judicial Justice and Johnny was remanded in custody,” the RCMP said in a press release Wednesday. “He appeared in Williams Lake Provincial Court on March 18, and was further remanded in custody and transferred to the Prince George Regional Correctional Centre. “
The 100 Mile House RCMP were alerted about the robbery on Sunday after they received a 911 call from a youth explaining he was a passenger on the bus travelling between Kamloops and Williams Lake when he was approached by the suspect who demanded money.
“When the youth refused, the suspect feigned that he may have a weapon, and the youth, feeling intimidated by the suspect gave the man his money,” the RCMP noted in a press release.
Upon arriving in 100 Mile House, the youth called 911.
Officers attended the bus depot and arrested Johnny and a 15-year-old male who was believed to be his accomplice.
An investigation, however, revealed Johnny was acting alone and the 15-year-old was released into custody of his parents without charge.

A Williams Lake Wednesday to face charges after pretending to be in possession of a weapon and robbing someone while on a Greyhound bus.
“At approximately 3 p.m., Sunday, March 15, the RCMP responded to the Greyhound Bus Depot and arrested a Williams Lake man for feigning possession of a weapon and committing a robbery on a 17-year-old passenger while the bus was in transit between Clinton and 100 Mile House,” the 100 Mile House RCMP said in its latest weekly round up.
The male is presently being remanded in custody on robbery charges contrary to Section 344 of the Criminal Code and is awaiting his bail hearing.
He will be appearing in Williams Lake Provincial Court on March 18, 2015.
