The Kelowna RCMP have charged a 47-year-old woman after a man was stabbed, and seriously injured, in front of the Gospel Mission Thursday night.

Sheila Devilliers is charged with attempted murder and uttering threats, and is expected to appear in court Tuesday.

“A verbal argument between the two precipitated the altercation,” a statement from police indicated on Friday.

Devilliers knew the 39-year-old man she injured as the pair are described as having been involved in a previous relationship. Both from the Kelowna area.

The victim was taken to hospital. His injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
