A Nanaimo woman has been missing for a week and family and friends are worried, say police.

Nanaimo RCMP advised today that they are asking for the public’s help to try to locate 29-year-old Kandace Pirart, who was last seen Jan. 16 and hasn’t been heard from since then.

“Pirart’s disappearance is out of character and has caused her family and friends to be worried for her safety and well-being,” noted an RCMP press release.

Pirart doesn’t have a cell phone or access to a vehicle.

Pirart is Caucasian, 5-foot-5, 140 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes and may be wearing a long green coat with a fur collar and a tuque.
