UPDATE: RCMP say the 53-year-old woman who had been reported missing has been found and is safe and sound.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help to try to find a woman who hasn’t been seen in a week.

Claudette Boulianne, 53, has not been seen since Thursday, March 25, and was reported missing Monday by a family member.

Investigators discovered that Boulianne told her family she would be taking a day trip, but she did not return as expected. Investigators confirmed that she travelled with a friend to Courtenay on March 25 and arrived there at about 6 p.m.

Her disappearance is out of character and as a result, her family is worried for her safety and well-being.

Boulianne is 5-foot-8 with a slim build, brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey sweater, brown T-shirt and multi-coloured leggings.

Anyone with information on Boulianne’s whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file No. 2021-11180.
