A motorcyclist was killed in a crash at about 7:30 a.m. in north Langley Tuesday, RCMP say.
A southbound motorcycle apparently collided with a northbound Toyota Corolla making a left hand turn into a business in the 7000 block of 264th Stree, said Cpl. Holly Largy, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.
The motorcycle rider was declared dead at the scene.
Langley RCMP Client Support and Victim Services are providing assistance to the driver of the Corolla, said Largy.
The speed of the motorcycle may have been a factor, Largy said. Police are asking anyone who saw the rider’s driving pattern before the collision contact them.
Anyone who witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police is also asked to call the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
Investigators have closed 264th Street from 72nd to 84th Avenue and expect that stretch of road to be closed until between 2 and 3 p.m., Largy said.
