A press release received on Sept. 12 from Conservative Campaign headquarters confirmed Conservative leader Stephen Harper will be visiting Penticton and Kamloops on Sept. 13 and 14. These are the same communities visited by NDP leader Tom Mulcair at then end of August.

According the release, the purpose of the visit is for Harper “to outline our low-tax plan to keep the economy strong and our communities safe.”

The release contains little information about the visit, other than to say details to follow. It is not known at this point which day Harper will be in Penticton or if there will be a public event.

Conservative candidate Marshall Neufeld would not comment on his party leader’s visit to the South Okanagan West Kootenay riding. His campaign manager Levin Njogu said they will be issuing a statement later today.
