Bowser Elementary School was closed for the day Friday after a morning power outage.

School District 69 (Qualicum) reported that Bowser school was without power the morning of Friday Nov. 3, though power was restored later in the morning, according to a school board website notification.

“Power has been restored; however, since the building will take time to warm up, students will not be in attendance today,” reads the website notice.

According to BC Hydro, the power was off beginning at 9 a.m. Friday. The closure was announced at approximately 10 a.m.

Several customers in Errington were also without power, with the cause still under investigation.

Another outage along Spider Lake Road was also under investigation, with power off since 10:21 a.m.
