At approximately 3:00 pm on December 11, DriveBC reported an incident three kilometres south of Fernie Ski Hill Rd., the turn off for Fernie Alpine Resort.
Crews are en route to the scene but Drive BC is warning motorists they should expect delays.
UPDATED at 6:00pm
DriveBC reported the vehicle incident has caused the affected stretch of highway to go down to single lane, alternating traffic. Crews were reported on scene at approximately 5:35pm.
Major delays are suspected due to congestion.
