The two-year agreement provides a “modest” wage increase of two per cent in 2012 and 1.38 per cent in 2013

Members of CUPE 4163 have voted 96 per cent in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement with the University of Victoria.

The two-year agreement provides a “modest” wage increase of two per cent in 2012 and 1.38 per cent in 2013.

It is the fourth union at UVic to ratify a contract in the last two months.

A fifth group, the UVic Faculty Association, was unable to reach an agreement by a mid-January deadline. As a result, the association’s old framework agreement was automatically renewed, and outstanding monetary matters will go to arbitration.
