Reports of a structure fire at an Armstrong school had firefighters scrambling early Wednesday morning.
Initial reports indicated that flames had been seen inside Len Wood Middle School at about 2 a.m.
“We had a huge turnout because of the potential,” said Ian Cummings, Armstrong-Spallumcheen fire chief.
However, once on scene, firefighters discovered possibly a garden pot set on fire next to the school, but flames had not spread inside the structure.
“There is no damage to the school,” said Cummings.
There was also significant graffiti on the school and a broken window.
The incident is under investigation by the RCMP.
