It has been 8 years since the Vanderhoof community has hosted a local Air Show.

Wait no longer.

On August 11 Vanderhoof welcomes its planes and pilots back to the community to reintroduce what aviation is all about.

Flying demos will be done by John Mrazek, Ron Andrew’s and local pilot Glenn Pearce.

Peet Vahi of the Vanderhoof Airport has compiled and facilitated an event that will surely have Air Show’s reacquiring in the town of Vanderhoof.

The events on August 11 will commence at 1 p.m. with flying demos and musical guests.

Bryant Olender and musical group, BANG! will be entertaining guests during the dinner and dance portion of the event.

Nechako Catering will be serving dinner  that will start at 5 p.m. and the dance will start at 9 p.m.

The three hour Air Show event will be the opportunity to see if the community of Vanderhoof is receptive to getting back to its traditional ways.

“I don’t want to give it the Air Show stigma quite yet,” said Vahi. “The local community has been amazing. We need something happy to happen in Vanderhoof.”

Come out with family and friends and experience what aviation is all about.
