The Penticton Vees overcame an opportunistic Trail Smoke Eaters with a 6-3 win Saturday at the Cominco Arena.
The teams were tied at 1-1 after 20 minutes despite Trail mustering only four shots on goal.
Penticton outshot Trail 36-17 after two periods but Trail managed to briefly take a 3-2 lead five minutes into the frame.
Penticton rallied for two goals to go ahead and added a pair in the third to seal the win.
Dallas Calvin, Charlie Zuccarini and Bryan Basilico scored for Trail.
