Vehicle left in handicapped parking spot for few weeks

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 33 calls for service from January 5th, 8 a.m. till January 6th, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 33 calls for service from January 5th, 8 a.m. till January 6th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, four people were lodged in Terrace cells – two of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Hit and run. Shortly after the driver of the offending vehicle reported the incident. The people involved were spoken with. Damage was minor.

Hit and run to a vehicle parked in the Bank of Montreal parking lot at approximately 12:30 p.m. The front driver’s side signal light was smashed out.

A man causing a disturbance on Lazelle Ave. Checks of the area were done.

An intoxicated man causing a disturbance and damaging items in a motel room on Lakelse Ave. Checks determined that the man was breaching a condition of an undertaking of not to consume alcohol. The 52-year-old man was arrested. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A woman unable to get up off the ground on Lakelse Ave. Checks of the area were done.

Intoxicated woman on Lakelse Ave. Police transported the intoxicated woman to the care of a sober person.

Disturbance at a restaurant on Lakelse Ave. Police arrested an intoxicated adult woman.

Disturbance on Lazelle Ave. Checks of the area were done and people were spoken with. The man who was causing the problems was arrested later in the evening after numerous calls.

Elsewhere Terrace

A warrant was issued for a 44-year-old man, a 20-year-old man, and a 16-year-old boy for failing to attend court.

A warrant was issued for a 33-year-old man and a 19-year-old man for failing to comply with probation.

Break and enter. Checks of the residence were done. Unfounded.

A group of people drinking in the band shelter. Checks of the area were done.

A black Fiori clutch wallet containing various cards and ID was lost near Tim Horton’s on Keith Ave. sometime between December 28 and 29.

A vehicle parked in the handicapped spot at Mills Memorial Hospital for the past couple of weeks. Police spoke with the registered owner.

Abandoned 911 call from Mills Memorial Hospital. Numerous checks were done.

Abandoned 911 call from Loen Ave. Police spoke with a man. There was no emergency.

Anonymous complaint of a theft. Further details could not be obtained.

An unlocked vehicle parked on Walsh Ave. was rifled through.

Domestic dispute. A 25-year-old man was arrested. Charges of assault and sexual assault are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A man was assaulted and suffered facial injuries. A 25-year-old man was arrested. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A black leather men’s wallet containing various cards and ID was lost at the beginning of December.

An elderly man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital.

Liquor offence information was received.

Thornhill

Well-being check. Under investigation.

False residential alarm on Kofoed Dr.

Attack with a knife. Police spoke with a person. Unsubstantiated.

Possible fight. Police spoke with the people involved.

Suicidal man. Under investigation.

Rural

A black sling back purse with a green plaid design on the front flap containing a blue Mead 5 Star spiral bound notebook, medication, a cell phone charger, and various other items was lost on New Year’s Day in a cab.

Gitaus

A crossbow was stolen. Under investigation.

Kitsumkalum

A person inside of a residence. Possible breach of a no contact condition. The person left prior to police attendance. Police spoke with the people involved. Unsubstantiated.
