After stopping a suspicious vehicle in Parksville last week, police seized “trafficking-level” quantities of suspected drugs.

On Feb. 15 at 11:40 a.m., Oceanside RCMP officers from the Crime Reduction Unit noticed a suspicious vehicle and recognized the driver, who they knew to be prohibited from driving, according to an Oceanside RCMP release Monday (Feb. 19).

RCMP officers stopped the vehicle on Barclay Crescent in Parksville and arrested a 44-year-old female from Errington.

A search of the vehicle uncovered trafficking-level quantities of suspected heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, unknown pills, as well as $760 in cash, a scale and score sheets.

The woman has been released from custody and will appear in Nanaimo Provincial Court.
