Vehicles rifled through in Humpback Road area of Langford

Thefts happen in relative close proximity to smash-and=grab ATM theft

One Langford neighbourhood has seen a rash of crime this week. Not far from the Shell gas station on West Shore Parkway that was robbed Monday, a number of residents had their vehicles targeted on Tuesday.

Wesy Shore RCMP report that at least nine vehicles were broken into in the 2900-block of Humpback Rd. at approximately 3 a.m. Police received various reports of items ranging from electronics to coffee cards being taken from vehicles parked in private driveways. Several of the vehicles had been unlocked.

“A homeowner reported seeing two people walking by at the time of the thefts, with one of the individuals reportedly carrying a duffel bag,” Const. John Varley said in a statement. “No further details are known at this time.”
