Two people are facing attempted murder charges in relation to the Monday morning shooting in the 900-block of Douglas St.
A warrant has been issued for Dennis Grant Fletcher, 23, who is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
Whitney Furber is in custody and also faces attempted murder charges.
Police surrounded an apartment block in the 900-block of Esquimalt Rd for over 12 hours on Monday, after a brazen drive-by shooting in front of the Strathcona Hotel left one man with a gunshot wound. The victim has since been released from hospital.
Officers finally gained entrance to the apartment early this morning, but Fletcher wasn’t there.
“Locating Mr. Fletcher is our top priority,” said Staff Sgt. Scott McGregor. “We are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of the public and our officers during this investigation.”
Tips on Fletcher’s whereabouts can be reported anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). If you see Fletcher, call 911.
