One of Victoria’s finest has been recognized by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) with its inaugural 40 Under 40 Award.
Det. Sgt. Kris Rice is among 40 law enforcement professionals selected for the award from all over the world who are considered to be up-and-coming leaders in all types of law enforcement organizations.
Rice is currently assigned to the VicPD major crimes unit with the investigative services division, also providing both supervision and mentorship to other officers.
With 12 years of policing service, 10 of which are with VicPD, he has served in a number of sections including patrol and strike force. Rice is also a member of the voluntary VicPD ceremonial honour guard.
The award was developed to recognize 40 law enforcement professionals from around the world who are under the age of 40, demonstrate leadership and exemplify commitment to their profession.
The awards will be presented at the 2016 IACP conference in San Diego this fall.
