VicPD is asking the public to keep an eye out for this man, who police believe is responsible for several attempted and successful scams against seniors.

VicPD is asking care home workers and residents to be vigilant after a man scammed a 92-year-old woman out of $2,000.

The man pretended to be the woman’s nephew and said he was in financial trouble. He then accompanied the victim to the bank, where she withdrew the money.

Police believe the man is connected to at least two other unsuccessful scams in the last two weeks.

The suspect is believed to be Caucasian, in his 50’s, 5-foot-6 with a thin build and ruddy complexion. He is also missing some front teeth.

Anyone with information is asked to call VicPD at 250-995-7444 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
